Welcome 6th Grade Wikis

As part our study of the Middle Ages, the class will research and learn how to use wiki technology. On our Buckley 6th Grade History Wiki Website students will collect, gather, and publish information on the web. Students will work on editing their own wiki pages, and at a later date, students will work together in a collaborative group to develop a wiki page on a particular topic.

Guidelines for Student Wiki Pages

  • Look under Instructions for Content to find current wiki assignments.
  • You may look at any other student's wiki to find out how they answered the same question.
  • You may not edit another student's wiki page except to correct spelling or capitalization errors.
  • You may provide feedback to your classmates in the space provided for comments and suggestions. Feedback from each other is important. Date your comments, and sign your name with "wiki." (JaneWiki)
  • Write the content in your own words on your wiki page.
  • Read the through the Wiki Style to find out how to enhance the appearance of your page.
  • Type your work using a wordprocessing software such as Microsoft Word.
  • Proofread manually as well as using the spell and grammar check function on your computer. There is no spell check function for wiki pages. Grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation count, so please proofread your page.
  • Copy and paste it on your page.
  • Proofread your work before you click to update your page.

Please do not change any information on the "buckley6thgradehistory Frontpage.
